Orel Miller continued his hot scoring form after he notched up consecutive hat tricks to lead last season’s beaten finalists Glenmuir High to a massive 13-0 trouncing hapless Porus High in their ISSA/Wata daCosta Cup Zone I game played on Wednesday, September 11, 2024.

Miller who had scored a hat trick in his team’s opening 5-0 win over Kemps Hill was joined by Orane Watson who also scored a hat trick as Dunstin Cohen and Ricardo Binns scored braces while Nmuemonie Blackwood and Tajaun Cummings got one each and an own goal added to the toll.

Two other schools also won back to back games on Wednesday, Port Antonio High beat St Mary High 4-1 while Holmwood Technical outscored Bellefield High 4-3.

Kerone George scored a brace and Shaquone Hardware and Dwayne Rodgers also scored for Port Antonio High as they took over the lead in Zone M beating St Mary High 4-1. Holmwood Technical who had won 4-0 over over Alston High in their opening game, outscored Bellefield High 4-3 in their game after Bellefield had also won their first game.

Green Pond High beat Maldon High 2-1 with a second half double from Garth-Dane Bromwell, who netted in the 50 th and 65 th minutes while Kevin Hawthorne scored a consolation goal for Maldon High in the 76th minute.

Irwin High were held 2-2 at home by St James High also in a Zone A game.

Mannings School also got off to a positive start, beating Black River High 2-0 with goals from Jarvis Meylor and Dainton Williams.
BB Coke who advanced to the quarterfinals for the first time last season, opened their season with a 5-1 win over Newell High to take over the lead on goal-difference in E.

Knox College and Paul Bogle High who lost in their opening games, bounced back to beat Alston High 2-0 and St Thomas Technical 3-0 respectively.
