The favourites obliged in the quarter-finals of the ISSA Ben Francis Knock out competition after St Elizabeth Technical, Edwin Allen High, Frome Technical, and Manchester high all scored wins in Thursday’s quarter-finals to advance.

STETHS beat Vere Technical 2-0, Edwin Allen eliminated seven-time champions Cornwall College 2-1, Frome edged Munro College 1-0 and Manchester High beat Christiana High 3-0.

In next Tuesday's semis, Edwin Allen will face Manchester High in one game while Frome and STETHS will meet in the other for a place in the January 21st final.

At the STETHS Sports Complex, Negus Daley and Michael Jerman scored a goal apiece for STETHS to beat Vere Technical, the first-ever winners of the competition.

At Drax Hall, Edwin Allen held off a slow starting Cornwall College 2-1 with goals from Jaheim Harris and Jaheim Thomas, on each in either half while substitute Dante Escoffery pulled one back late for Cornwall College.

Akeem Kongall scored mid-way the second for Frome Technical as Yarek Carnegie scored a double for Manchester High and Shaquille Campbell got the other to beat Christiana High 3-0.
