The four semi-finalists from last season’s ISSA DaCosta Cup have booked their places in the round of 16 after completing wins in their second round ties on Tuesday.

 

Defending champions Garvey Maceo High, beaten finalists Mannings School, Clarendon College, York Castle, St Elizabeth Technical, and Dinthill Technical are through to the round of 16.

Orlando Lawrence scored four times in Garvey Maceo’s win 10-0 whipping of DeCarteret College in Mocho while Eric Forrester scored a brace and Cleo Clarke, Sherwayne Thomas, Shaquille Blackstock and Everald Swaby all got one each as they completed a 15-0 aggregate win.

 

Clarendon College were 5-0 winners over St Mary Technical for a 12-1 aggregate with goals from Deandrea Gallimore, Kristoff Graham, Carlos Junior, Malachi Douglas and Kahiem Dixon.

Dinthill Technical won their 12th game, beating Brown’s Town 4-0 for an 8-1 aggregate as Giovannie Afflick who had scored a hattrick in the first leg on Friday, scored twice with Deshawn Talbert and Daniel Roberts getting a goal each.

Manning’s edged Charlemont High 1-0 to win their tie 4-2 as Shamar Hamilton scored a second half penalty kick.

STETHS were held 1-1 by Holmwood Technical but advanced on a 2-1 aggregate while York Castle High had an easy 3-0 win over Seaforth High after beating them 4-0 in the first leg, with goals from Rackeem Grizzle, Ahir Dixon and Dahmani Miller.
