Jamaica College won an unlikely 30th lien on the ISSA Manning Cup on Friday, beating St Andrew Technical 5-4 on penalty kicks after they played out a dour 0-0 draw in regulation time.

It was an almost carbon copy of the 2017 final where JC beat STATHS via the same route and won for the sixth time in seven years while extending STATHS’ run to a 33rd year since they last won the Manning Cup.

Jamaica College who qualified for the semi-finals on goal- difference failed to win any of their last five games in regulation time; losing one and drawing two games in the quarter-finals for a minus Goal-Difference.

They then beat Kingston College on penalty kicks after STATHS beat Wolmers Boys by the same route.

On Friday JC was perfect from the spot in the shoot out while goalkeeper Tyreke Barnett saved Tyrese Smith’s fifth penalty for STATHS.
