Title favorites Kingston College secured top spot in Group C after defeating St Catherine High 2-1 in Manning Cup action. The North Street-based institution was in cruise control of the first half where they lead 1-0. The second half was a tune from the same song as KC dominated and doubled their lead.

St Catherine High came to the party with 15 minutes remaining when they cut the deficit in half through a penalty and pressed for the equalizer to no avail. KC ended the first round with a perfect points tally of 15 points Scoring 19 and conceding only 1 goal from their 5 games.

Group C ended with KC 15 points, Mona High on 10 and St Catherine High 10, Mona High secured second place on goal difference. Another result from the group saw Wolmers defeat Papine High 3-0.

Jose Marti Technical High was leading Dunoon Technical 1-0 when the game was called off in the 85th minute as the Dunoon Technical coaching staff walked onto the field of play to protest against Kingston College warming up down by the goal line.

Group A action saw Charlie Smith High defeat St George's College 2-1 to finish third in the group on 12 points behind Jamaica College and Kingston Technical.
