Shevon Miller scored a hat trick to lead Happy Grove High to a 7-0 win over Titchfield High in their first-round Zone N game in the ISSA/Wata DaCosta Cup football competition on Thursday, their third straight win to start the season.
The win took Happy Grove to nine points, five clear of Port Antonio High who are on four points, followed by Titchfield High- three points, and Fair Prospect who are on one point. Miller scored in the 6th, 20th, and 31st minutes, Bonny Chisholm scored two goals, a 25th-minute penalty, and in the 68th minute while Oshane Chambers in the 36th and Shanroy Cunningham in the 71st minute also scored.
In another game played Thursday, Paul Bogle High edged Yallahs High 1-0 to move into second place in Zone K with six points.
Morant Bay High leads Zone K with nine points while Yallahs High is in third position with three points followed by Robert Lightbourne High who are yet to open their account.
