Romario Williams banged in four goals yesterday as Penwood High blanked Campion College 6-0 in the ISSA/Gatorade/Digicel Manning Cup Group A match at the Cling Cling Oval.

Williams struck in the 38th, 40th, 65th and 88th minutes to help push Penwood to six points with a record of two wins and a loss.

Sadiki Osbourne (6th minute) and Clifford Shaw (36th) were the other scorers for the home team. Penwood head coach Rupert Nicholas credited his team for winning their second straight game and said he is not surprised with the recent good showings.

“I’m happy for scoring these goals and getting the win. I’m not surprised because players are fighting hard in training. There is now a pattern in the way we play,” he told the Jamaica Observer yesterday. Campion coach Alvin Shaw said he is not displeased in his team’s performance despite the heavy defeat. “I’m not disappointed in the loss. These players are working hard in training, they are working to learn at every chance. They are young and we have to be patient with them,” he said.
