Former champions Munro College led four teams into the Round of 32 of the ISSA/Wata daCosta Cup football competition on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 and they will be joined by Black River High, Kemps Hill High and Ocho Rios High as 20 spots have now been claimed as the first round winds down.

Munro College topped Zone E after a 3-0 win over then second placed BB Coke High as Antwoine Smith led with a double to take his tally to nine goals in nine games with Odane Windette scoring the other goal.

With 21 points and one game to go, Munro College cannot be surpassed at the top of Zone E with St Elizabeth Technical moving into second place on 15 points after hammering Newell High 6-0 after they had drawn 1-1 in the first round.

Black River High continued their hot scoring streak, beating Godfrey Stewart High 5-0 to join Mannings Schools as the qualifiers from Zone C,  moving to 15 points.

Black River who has a game in hand, had scored 11 of the 25 goals in their last two games after beating Grange Hill 6-0 in their previous game.

Kemps Hill High ended Glenmuir High’s perfect win record, clipping them 1-0 to claim the third qualifying spot from Zone I.

Ocho Rios High are also into the next round, beating Browns Town High 3-0 and taking over the lead in Zone K with 21 points, two more than Browns Town.
