Four time champions STETHS appear to finally be getting into strides after a slow start to the ISSA/Foow daCosta cup schoolboys football competition after hammering Newell high 6-0 in their Group E game played in Santa Cruz on Thursday.
After a sluggish start STETHS exploded for six second half goals with Michael Kerr who starred for Godfrey Stewart last season, scoring four times while Calvin Campbell and Glenodo Gopaul also scored.
STETHS are still only third in the Group however on 8 points, trailing Lacovia whose game against Munro College was rained out and BB Coke who edged Maggotty High 1-0.
Manchester High continued their rampage in Group F, winning a fifth straight, flooding Winston Jones 8-0 with three players Romario Walsh, Shemar Green and Dennell Stewart all scoring braces.
Paul Bogle High are also perfect winning their fourth game in a row, edging Seaforth High 1-0 and moved to 12 points, five more than second placed Seaforth High.
Mile Gully High won for the first time in three games, beating Belair High 3-0 in Group F to move to 10 points, one more than DeCarteret College who were 1-0 winners over Cross Keys.
Group D leaders Petersfield High were held 1-1 by Little London who were earning their first point after four games. Petersfield stayed at the top of the tables on 10 points however as second placed Godfrey Stewart were held 0-0 by Maude McLeod High in Darliston.
Dinthill Technical rebounded from their draw on Tuesday with a 3-0 win over second placed Ewarton High to maintain the lead in Group K with 13 points.
Bog Walk High moved past Ewarton into second place on goal-difference after their 1-0 win over Tacius Golding while McGrath High were 1-0 winners over Charlemont High.
Shemar Cooper scored two goals for Kemps Hill in their 7-0 win over Foga Road and pulled to within a point of leaders Vere Technical High.
