Former champions Vere Technical stayed alive in the race for one of the two automatic places from Zone N of the ISSA/Wata daCosta Cup football competition after beating Central High 1-0 in a must-win game played at Vere Monday.
Two days after losing a heartbreaker against Central High at Juici Field, after taking a 1-0 lead late into the game, Vere Technical pulled off the win that saw them close the gap in the point’s tables.
Central High who were losing for the first time this season, leads Zone N with 11 points, one more than Old Harbour High with Vere Tech next on eight points, all from six games played.
