Former two-time champions Herbert Morrison Technical are back into the second round of the ISSA/Wata daCosta Cup football competition after playing out a 1-1 draw against Holland High in their rescheduled Zone C return round game played in Trelawny Monday.
The point earned took Herbie to 16 and secured the runner-up spot behind Cedric Titus as they got past the first round for the first time since 2015 and only the second time since 2006, 12 years ago.
Herbert Morrison took the lead in the first half through Tajae Bronstroph, but Johnay McIntosh scored in the second half as Holland High earned a share of the points.
Cedric Titus meanwhile were confirmed as the zone winners after beating William Knibb 5-0 led by a hat-trick from Kyle Marshall as they moved to 24 points.
Herbert Morrison became the 16th team to book their spot in the second round and joins defending champions Rusea’s High, Cornwall College, Cedric Titus, St Elizabeth Technical High, Manchester High, BB Coke, Clarendon College, Lennon High, St Mary High, Dinthill Technical, Charlemont High, Port Antonio High, Garvey Maceo High, Old Harbour and Paul Bogle High.
