Frome sent a big message that they are serious contenders for the ISSA/Wata DaCosta Cup title after a big 5-0 thrashing of Petersfield High in their quarter-final Group 3 game at the Frome Complex on Wednesday.
Frome came up just short last year, falling at the semi-final hurdle to Cornwall College but has been one of the most impressive teams this year.
In the first game of the double-header, defending champions Clarendon College came from a goal down to beat Mannings School 2-1 in their Group 1 game.
Both winners on Wednesday took over the lead in their respective groups.
Frome Technical was in a rampant mood and led 3-0 at half time in the game that was delayed by a heavy downpour and played on a muddy field.
Devin Johnson and Giovanni Mittoo both scored doubles and Clifton Suban added a fifth for Frome Technical.
In the first game, Sheldon Smart scored a double for the champions Clarendon College to score their eighth win in a row.
Mannings School who overturned a loss to Ocho Rios High in their second-round fixtures to win and advance took the lead after just seven minutes through Tavar Thompson.
Smart brought Clarendon College level in the 26th minute then gave them the lead in the 63 rd minute when he dribbled down the right flank cut into the middle of the field before firing past goalkeeper Ngozi Thompson.
