Six more schools led by defending champions Garvey Maceo High and first-time qualifiers Irwin High School booked their places in the second round of the ISSA daCosta Cup football competition on Tuesday.
Also making progress on Tuesday were Petersfield High, Holmwood Technical, Glenmuir High and Central High who joined another 12 schools that had already secured their places in the next round.
Garvey Maceo topped Zone N with 19 points after beating Foga Road High for their sixth consecutive victory while Vere Technical took over sole possession of second place with 13 points after beating Kemps Hill 3-1.
Led by four goals from Leo Campbell, Irwin High hammered Anchovy High 5-1 in Zone A and moved to 21 points, guaranteeing them their first trip outside the first round since they started playing in 2008.
Many-time champions Cornwall College strengthened their hold on second place with a 1-0 win over St James High while Maldon High and Green Pond played out a 0-0 draw.
Petersfield High took a point from their 1-1 draw with Mannings School to take the second spot while Mannings was confirmed as the winner of the zone as they improved to 23 points.
A 0-0 draw between Christiana High and Mile Gully means Holmwood Technical who are on 15 points will finish in the top two in Zone G as Christiana High are second with 12 points, Mile Gully is next with 11 and Alphansus Davis on 10 points.
Glenmuir High extended their perfect start to five wins after beating Old Harbour High 5-0 and in the process secured their second-round spot while Central High also made progress.
Glenmuir and Central are on 15 points and cannot be overtaken in Zone M.
