Derrick Henry and Tajaun Cummings both scored hat tricks to lead Glenmuir High to a big 16-0 thrashing of Porus High in their ISSA/Wata daCosta Cup Zone L game played in May Pen on Tuesday.
It was Glenmuir High’s third straight win as Rusea’s High and Knox College also picked up their third straights wins, joining Annotto Bay High who won their third on Monday.
In addition to Henry and Cummings there were also goals for Nuemonie Blackwood, Oneil Headley, Tevin Ramdial, Dominic Murray, Devonnie Gordon, Kyle Gordon, Tayshawn Rowe, Orel Miller, Deandre Johnson and Nyron Allen.
Porus High have now conceded 34 goals in just two games after they lost 18-0 to Denbigh High last week.
Rusea’s High raced to the top of Zone B after a 5-0 win over Merlene Ottey High while Knox College edged Christiana High 2-1 in Zone G.
There was also a win for Denbigh High as they won their second straight, blanking last year’s beaten finalists Central High 5-0.
Twelve time champions Cornwall College scored three times in the second half to beat Green Pond High 3-1.
Daville Williams headed Green Pond into the lead in the third minute but Dane Buckley equalised in the 52 nd minute, Dante Escoffery gave them the lead in the 55th minute and Trimane Bradshaw added an insurance goal in the 60 th minute.
Nickoy Stewart, Kenrick Thorpe, Leonardo Crossbourne all scored for Maldon High after they took the lead through an own goal, as they outscored Spot Valley High 4-3 for back to back wins.
Green Island got their first win of the season, blanking Cambridge High 6-0 while there were 3-0 wins for St Mary Technical, Enid Bennett and Black River High over Iona High, Ewarton High ad Grange Hill respectively.
