Belair High School from Zone F are the first school to secure their place in the Round of 32 in the ISSA/Wata daCosta Cup football competition on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 after beating Mt St Joseph Catholic 5-1 in their return round Zone F game.

Belair High won their seventh straight game and improved to 21 points and are assured of at least second place in the zone as five different players got on the score sheet.

Ajwani Wauchope scored his 10th goal of the season, Fante Johnson got his fifth Jayvian Rocket scored his third while Christian Henry and Zavier Grey got their second each for Belair High yesterday.

Meanwhile Glenmuir High also won their seventh straight game as Orane Watson scored a double, taking his tally of goals on the season to 15, as they beat Old Harbour High 2-0 to complete a perfect first round schedule in Zone I.

Glenmuir High had already secured the top seed in the play-offs.

Mannings School are a point away from advancing from Zone C after beating neighbors Godfrey Stewart High 5-0 for their sixth straight win as Kajaye Williams led the Sav la Mar school with two goals while Dainton Williams, Lennox Wright and Gregory Phillips also scored.

Frome Technical held their lead in Zone B after beating early leaders Anchovy High 5-1 in their first meeting of the season as the St James school that had started the season with four wins, dropped to third place in the group.

Stevaughn Spence scored a double to lead Frome Tech as Ramondo Eccleston, Obryan Reid and Kishmar Clayton also scored with Maliek Stephenson scoring a consolation for Anchovy High.

Frome Technical led 1-0 up to the 75th minute before scoring four times in the final 15 minutes as they opened up a three points lead over Rusea’s High who were 5-0 winners over Knockalva Technical and leads Anchovy High on goal-difference, both on 12 points.
