Denbigh High and Morant Bay High both completed their respective zone play-offs on Saturday, October 5, 2024 in contrasting manners in the ISSA/Wata daCosta Cup football competition.
Despite not kicking a ball, Denbigh High became the fourth team to get into the play-offs in Zone H after Central High beat Edwin Allen High and eliminating them from contention.
Denbigh High who are on nine points with a game in hand, took the final spot with both Edwin Allen and Thompson Town eliminated.
They join defending champions Clarendon College, Central High and Lennon High.
Morant Bay who needed to avoid a double- digit loss to Zone L winners Happy Grove were beaten by ‘only’ 2-0 and edged Seaforth High on goal-difference after both finished on seven points.
Paul Bogle High and Yallahs High are also in the play-offs.
