Glenmuir High are the first qualifiers for the semi-finals of the ISSA/Wata daCosta Cup football competition after coming from a goal down to beat McGrath High 4-1 in their quarter-final game played at Glenmuir High in May Pen on Tuesday, November 12, 2024.
Orel Miller and Orane Watson scored doubles for Glenmuir High after Dontae Anderson had scored for McGrath High to take the early lead as they extended their winning run to eight games.
The win was Glenmuir High’s second consecutive in the round after their 4-3 come-from-behind win over Frome Technical on Saturday. It secured their place in the top four of the daCosta Cup and the first round of the ISSA Champions Cup.
Glenmuir has been perfect since the end of the first round. After not conceding a goal in their first six games, they conceded three on Saturday and one on Tuesday.
