High riding Anchovy High lead six schools to a third straight win after beating Cambridge High 2-0 in their ISSA/Wata daCosta Cup Zone B game played on Tuesday, September 17, 2024.

Three days after their massive upset of Rusea’s High, Anchovy were back at it again, this time sending Cambridge to their third straight loss as Anju Barrett and Javaine Jarrett scored for their winners.

Anchovy High are tied for the lead in Zone B with Frome Technical who beat Knockalva High 6-2 at Frome.

Spot Valley High, Mannings School, Belair High and Munro College also took their records to three wins as well.

Chrisano Lawrence scored a brace and Leshen Forbes got the other as Spot Valley High beat Holland High 3-2 to take over the lead in Zone D on nine points.

Kajaye Williams got a brace and Devardo Reid and Jadon Grey got one each for Mannings School in their 4-1 victory over Little London in Zone C; Munro College were 4-0 winners over Newell High while Belair High outscored Mt St Joseph Catholic 4-3.

Cornwall College eked out a narrow 1-0 win over Irwin High in Zone A, thanks to a second half goal from National Under 14 striker Carlando Morris who was scoring his first goal at this level.

The win saw the former champions reclaim their lead in Zone A as Maldon High edged Herbert Morrison Technical 1-0 in a game that was switched from Maldon.

Still smarting from their loss to Anchovy, Rusea’s High clawed their way from a 2-1 half time deficit to beat Green Island High 3-2 while BB Coke beat former champions St Elizabeth Technical for the first time since 2015, winning 1-0 at he St Elizabeth Sports Complex.

Ferncourt High came from 0-2 down to earn a 2-2 draw against 10 man Marcus Garvey Technical in Zine K where Browns Town got their first points of the season, beating York Castle High 1-0.
