Twelve-time champions Cornwall College had to come from behind to secure three vital points in the Zone A opener against Herbert Morrison Technical.

Quezayne Channer opened the scoring to give Herbert Morrison a shock lead early in the competition, the lead lasted a few minutes as Cornwall College restored parity immediately through Shaheem Bernard who fired home from range. Mekhi Foster then completed the turnaround for the Theodore Tappa Witmore coached Cornwall College before the half-time break.

The second half began with Cornwall College taking control of the game and started to get into their rhythm. It was not long before they extended their lead to 3-1 through Miguel Arnold in the 53rd minute. Things only got worse for Herbert when the defender added insult to injury by turning the ball into his net and wrapping up the tie 4-1 to Cornwall College.
