Twelve-time champions Cornwall College will have a score to settle when they travel to Maldon High Wednesday for their ISSA/Wata DaCosta Cup first round game.
Maldon ambushed the defending champions last year and inflicted a stunning 3-1 beating in Zone A dating back to the 2013 season and the Zone A leaders will be itching to atone.
With the entire island receiving heavy rains for the last few days, the conditions at Maldon is expected to be bad as they were last year when the underfoot conditions were less than desirable.
Cornwall had won the return leg game 5-1 at Cornwall on their way to winning the Zone.
The 2016 champions are off to a fast start, winning all three games played so far without conceding a goal while Maldon is near to the foot of the tables with one point, from a 1-1 draw against St James High on Saturday.
St James High will be away to Green Pond, in a game where a point separates the two schools while Irwin High hosts Anchovy High.
