Edwin Allen High took the early lead in Zone H of the ISSA/Wata DaCosta Cup competition after beating Claude McKay High 7-1 in Frankfield, Clarendon.
Led by two goals from Tajay Thomas, Edwin Allen surged to the top of Zone H on goal-difference over defending champions Clarendon College and Kellits High.
Dyron-Lee Johnson, Patrick Harrion, Jayquan Johnson, Kimolar Ferron and Jovaine Dyke scored the other goals for Edwin Allen.
Tyieis Williams scored in the 20th minute for Kellits High to beat Thompson Town High 1-0 in their game while defending champions Clarendon College were 5-0 winners over Lennon High on Saturday.
Meanwhile Annotto Bay High and Wycliffe Martin High won their opening Zone I games over Iona High and St Mary High respectively.
Annotto Bay High leads the Zone after they came from a goal down to beat Iona High 4-1 while Wycliffe Martin edged St Mary High 1-0 in their game after drawing just two of their 10 games played last year.
