Former champions Dinthill Technical, Rusea’s High, STETHS and Frome Technical all scored wins on Tuesday to get their ISSA daCosta Cup quest underway on winning notes.
In Linstead, Dinthill Tech led the way with a 12-0 spanking of Tacius Golding High in their Zone J encounter, led by hat trick hero Giovanni Afflick while Raphael Smith and Tyrese Gowe both bagged braces while Shamair Hutchinson, Wayne Sewell, Rodain Reid, Okeeno McCarthy and an own goal accounted for the other goals.
Rusea’s High came from a goal down to beat Cambridge High 3-1 in Lucea and Frome Technical edged Green Island High 2-1, both in Zone B games.
Jade Lynch’s 81st minute goal saw St Elizabeth Technical edge Maggotty High 1-0 at the Lacovia Community Centre.
