Garvey Maceo High finished the first round of the ISSA daCosta Cup football competition on Saturday, spanking Old Harbour High 6-0, their seventh straight win and the only team in the quarter-finals with a perfect win record.

The former champions were the first qualifiers for the quarter-finals and were able to rest a number of players for Saturday’s game where Cleo Clarke scored four times to take over the lead in the goal-scoring race with Christopher Mundle and Shaquile Blackstock scoring the others.

Meanwhile, Manning’s School topped Zone B after beating fellow qualifiers Frome Technical 3-0 in their winner take all top of the group clash at Llandilo.

Despite playing with just 10 players after Jontwon McIntosh was shown the red card by referee Recordo Sailsman, Manning’s dominated the game and saw Javin Williams opening the scoring from the penalty spot and Jhamaleek Porter and Rushawn Porter adding the other goals.
