Shevon Miller scored four times and Bonny Chisholm had a hat trick for Happy Grove High who beat Robert Lightbourne High 10-1 at Hectors River as they won back to back games to start the ISSA/Wata daCosta Cup competition on Tuesday.
Happy Grove were the first school to extend winning starts after the Zone G clash between Christiana High and Alphansus Davis High ended in a 0-0 draw after both had won their opening games on Saturday.
Happy Grove who have not lost a first round game in the last three seasons led 5-0 at half time as Miller scored in the 16th,17th, 50th and 57th minutes, Chisholm scored in the 14th, 47th and 64th minutes while Oshane chambers got a brace, scoring in the ninth and 44th minutes and Jabari Ellis scored in the 69th minute.
Pert Jon Williams got the consolation for Robert Lightbourne High in the 81st minute.
Seron Williams scored a double to lead William Knibb Memorial to a 3-0 win over Muschett High in Wakefield with Joshua Walker scoring the other in the game that was affected by rain.
Cedric Titus also scored a big win, beating Holland High 6-0 in Clarke’s Town while returning teams Anchovy High and Little London were both winners, beating Knockalva Technical and Godfrey Stewart High respectively.
