Herbert Morrison Technical’s surge after a slow start continued on Wednesday after they avenged a first-round loss to Spot Valley High to jump to the joint first place in Zone C of the ISSA/Wata daCosta Cup football competition.

Five schools reversed their losses from the first round as the return round kicked off.
Herbert Morrison was beaten 1-0 by Spot Valley at home, their second successive loss to start the season but responded with four straight wins including 3-1 over Spot Valley on Wednesday.

The win pushed Compre to 12 points, same as Cedric Titus who leads Zone C on goal difference and with a game in hand.
Holland High ended a two games skid in Zone C with a 2-1 win over William Knibb Memorial who had won the first round game 2-0 as the teams shared victories on the other’s home grounds.

Alston High slowed down Christiana High’s run with a 1-0 win in Zone G after going down by the same margin in the first round but are still in fifth place in the six-team zone.

Marcus Garvey High’s 2-0 win over Ocho Rios stopped the zone leaders from widening their lead in Zone I.
Ocho Rios had won the first round game 1-0 and still leads Zone I with 13 points, one more than Browns Town High.
Annotto Bay High scored their second win, beating Fair Prospect 3-1 after being beaten 5-2 in the first round.
