Many time champion Jamaica College and Holy Trinity are yet to lose as they are both on 15 points in Group E and G respectively in the ISSA Manning Cup competition.
Jamaica College
The Miguel Coley coached-team Jamaica College (JC) are set to maintain their perfect record in Group E as they are led by National Under 17 captain Junior Flemmings who already score 7 goals in 5 games. The ‘Dark Blues’ , JC who were beaten in the Walker Cup finals last year, are the firm favourites to secure their 20th hold on the Corporate Area’s most prestigious schoolboy football trophy. The Old hope road boys last won in 2010 after pushing the boundaries of JC success to earned the right to be crowned ‘Triple Champions.
Holy Trinity
In Group G Holy Trinity will put their unbeaten record on the line when they play away to Innswood High in a return leg. Holy Trinity lead the group with 15 points and are followed by Innswood and Trench Town High who are both on nine points. Holy Trinity last win came against Meadowbrook when they blanked them 5-1. So far they only concede four goals and scored 13 goals.
However the Devon Anderson coached-team Holy Trinity are expecting to sit in the driver’s seat as their eyes are set on the inter-zone round.
