The first round of the ISSA/Digicel Manning Cup competition has been completed with the best sixteen advancing to the second round.

Group A: St. George’s College (STGC), St. Andrew Technical High School (STATHS), Cumberland High (second best 3rd place).

Group B: Kingston College, Mona High, Calabar High (best 3rd place)

Group C: Camperdown High, Charlie Smith High.

Group D: Denham Town High, St. Jago High.

Group E: St. Catherine High, Excelsior High.

Group F: Jamaica College, Hydel High.

Group G: Wolmer’s Boys High, Holy Trinity High.

At the end of the first round, Kingston College remains perfect winning all ten group games scoring fifty-two (52) goals conceding just one (1). Oneeko Allen leads the way for the purples in the first round scoring ten (10) goals.

The first round saw a few surprises as defending champions Jamaica college suffered a shock 2-1 defeat at home to Kingston Technical, this was most definitely the surprise result of the round.

Marcovich Brown of St. Catherine High ended the first round as the leading goalscorer with eighteen (18) goals from ten (10) games to lead his team into the second round.
Cumberland High advance to the second round for the first time in the school’s history as they continue to live the dream under coach Kemar Brown who continues to heap praises onto his determined team.

Second round action is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, October 16, 2018. Fixtures and venues to be announced.
