Former winners Rusea’s High and Morant Bay High are still perfect after Wednesday’s round of return round games in the ISSA/Wata daCosta Cup football competition.

Rusea’s high matched their best start since the 2018 season with their fifth straight win while Morant Bay High has won their fourth straight, the best in at least 15 years.

Rusea’s beat Cambridge High 4-0 to stay in the lead in Zone B as Davalio Gillard scored a hat trick and Deandre Brown scored the other after they had won the first round game 6-1.

Morant Bay High outscored Robert Lightbourne High 4-2 in their Zone K return round game after they had won the first round game 12-0 and opened up a six points lead.
There were also wins for St Elizabeth Technical, Cornwall College and Frome Technical.

Kenoy Banton and Deandre Campbell both scored braces to lead STETHS in their 9-1 beating of Sydney Pagon high and retake the lead in Zone E.
Cornwall College beat St James High 2-0 with Travis Gordon and Deshaun Talbert scoring in the first and second halves respectively.

Stevaughn Spence and Akeem Kangol both scored braces for Frome Technical who brushed aside Merlene Ottey High 7-0 in the Zone B return round game after beating them 3-1 in the first round.

William Knibb Memorial were also big winners getting by Discovery Bay High 8-0 in their game played at Martha Brae while Browns Town were 7-1 winners over Ferncourt High.
Leo Campbell scored a double for Irwin High as they beat Maldon High 2-0 to end their three games unbeaten run.
