Six teams, led by Kemps Hill High and Ocho Rios, grabbed the early leads in their Round of 16 groups after they won their games as the third round of the ISSA/Wata daCosta Cup football competition kicked off on Saturday, October 26, 2024.

Kemps Hill High and Ocho Rios were 5-0 winners over Alphansus Davis High and Happy Grove. Glenmuir High and Munro College also had impressive wins over Dinthill Technical and Cornwall College. Both scored four goals each, while Central High and McGrath High were also winners.

Defending champions Clarendon College rallied for a 1-1 draw against Frome Technical, while St Elizabeth Technical and Garvey Maceo also finished 1-1.

Eric Morgan bagged four goals for Kemps Hill High as they romped past Alphansus Davis High to take the lead in Zone 1, while Shemar Daley scored the other goal.

Kaneil Brown scored a hat trick for Ocho Rios High in their win over Happy Grove High at Carder Park, leading Zone 3 on goal difference over Glenmuir High, which was 4-0 winners over Dinthill Technical at home.

Keanu Reid and Shamari Linton also scored for Ocho Rios.

Glenmuir High rolled to another ‘clean sheet’ win, blanking Dinthill Technical, who was coming off a massive 8-0 defeat in their final Round of 32 game played earlier in the week.

Antwone Smith scored a double to lead Munro College to their 4-1 win over Cornwall College, while Kwesi Watts and Odane Windette also got on the score sheet as they assumed the lead in Zone 2.

Stevaughn Spence gave Frome Technical the lead in the 11th minute of their game at Llandilo Community Centre, but Clarendon College salvaged a point when Chevon Watson scored in the 71st minute.

Central High and McGrath High are separated by goal difference in Zone 4 after wins over Manchester High and Denbigh High, respectively.

Central High had a slight lead after beating Manchester High 3-1, while Jim Mitchell scored two goals, and Moses Rumble got the other for McGrath High to edge Denbigh High 3-2.
