St George’s College (STGC) will put their Inter Secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA) Flow Walker Cup title on the line when they tackle Wolmer’s Boys at the Stadium East field scheduled for Wednesday, December 2 at 3:00 pm.

The Light Blues from North Street are the most successful team with nine titles, one more than their fierce neighbours Kingston College, with eight, having last won in 2000. Excelsior High are next with seven titles, with Wolmers’ Boys on four.

In fact, STGC and Wolmer’s have shared the last four titles, each looking for their third in the last five years. St George’s won the inaugural tournament in 1961 and it took Wolmer’s 10 years later to achieve their first lien on the Walker Cup in 1971.

St George’s College are coming off a disappointing -0-1 loss in the Manning Cup final and head coach Neville Bell will have to be at his brilliant, motivational best to lift this team for Wednesday’s final.

However, St George’s are such a good team that they cannot for one minute be taken lightly. How motivated are they? Only time will tell.

But one thing for sure, Vassell Reynolds and his Heroes Circle boys will be diving down like vultures on the wounded Georgians as they aim to regain the Walker Cup they last won in 2013.

Wolmer’s defeated both Hydel High and Jamaica College on penalties while St George’s turned back Excelsior and St Jago on their way to the final.

St George’s will again be looking to Alex Marshall to lead the team to victory along with captain Shevon Stewart, Gregory Messam Jnr, Hakim Williams, Dominic James, Ronaldo Watson, Paul Young Jnr and Akeem Prawl for victory.

Wolmer’s will be depending on captain Jahwani Hinds, Chavez Brooks, Raja Smith, Javauni Garwood, Jamele Hall, Delano Smith, Ramone Lewis and Kashaun Smith for victory.
