Six-time champions St Elizabeth Technical and first-time finalists Edwin Allen will contest Friday’s final of the ISSA Ben Francis Knock-out competition after scoring contrasting wins in the semi-finals on Tuesday.

STETHS just got by Frome Technical 1-0 in the second game of the doubleheader after Edwin Allen had scored a resounding 4-0 win over Manchester High in the first game, both played at the STETHS Sports Complex.

Michael Jerman’s goal just before halftime was all STETHS needed to advance despite a spirited game from the 2006 champions.

In the first game, mistakes by Manchester High’s goalkeeper Othneil Reid gifted Edwin Allen a 2-0 lead, both goals scored by Richard Henry.

Henry got his first goal in the sixth minute when a shot from outside the 18 yards box, slipped through his legs and Henry got to it first and kicked it across the line.

Henry got his second goal in the 60th minute when Reid dropped a high cross and Henry was in the right place to collect the ball and stroke it into the far left corner.

Harris scored the third goal, in the 76th minute when he beat Reid with a free-kick from the edge of the 18 yards area and Ackeem Mullings rounded out the scoring when he scored in time added on at the end of the second half.
