The remaining three teams that will advance to the playoffs in Zone I of the ISSA DaCosta Cup football competition will be known on Thursday when the rescheduled games will be played after they were affected by bad weather on Wednesday.

Tacky High, who leads Zone I with 14 points, have already secured their place with four other schools- Horace Clarke High, Wycliffe Martin High, Annotto Bay High, and St Mary High all in contention.

Wednesday’s games had all started but had to be called off and will start at 1:00 pm on Thursday- Wycliffe Martin led Annotto Bay 1-0 while it was 0-0 between Horace Clarke and St Mary High and St Mary Tech and Tacky High.

Iona High and Carron Hall, who are not in contention, were also tied at 0-0.

Meanwhile, the qualifiers for the play-off in Zones C and E were decided on Wednesday as William Knibb Memorial beat York Castle High 2-0 to take the final spot in Zone C, finishing with 12 points from their seven games, one more than York Castle.

Cedric Titus topped the tables with 19 points, followed by Ocho Rios High-16 points and Browns Town 14 points.

The margin was even tighter in Zone E, where Lacovia High edged Maggotty High on goal-difference after both finished on 11 points and joined STETHS-19 points, BB Coke- 16 points and Munro College- 12 points.

Cedric Titus beat Browns Town 1-0 in Zone C, and Ocho Rios got by Aabuthnott Gallimore 4-0, while Ferncourt High was a 3-1 winner over Discovery Bay.

In Zone E, STETHS ended BB Coke’s unbeaten run by winning 1-0, Munro College and Lacovia High ended 0-0, while Newell High spanked Roger Clarke High 12-2 and Maggotty High were 3-1 winners over Sydney Pagon.

Dinthill Technical maintained their perfect win record in Zone J, beating Ewarton High 5-0 for their fourth straight victory as McGrath High also beat Enid Bennett High 4-2.

Edwin Allen High who ended the game with ten men, beat Thompson Town High 3-1 in Zone H, and Lennon High came back from 1-0 down to Claude McKay on Tuesday when the game started but was interrupted to win 3-1 after the restart on Wednesday.

Deandre Johnson scored a double for Glenmuir High in their 7-1 win over Porus High as they improved to 15 points in Zone L, increasing their gap at the top as second-placed Denbigh were beaten 1-0 by Central High.

Fair Prospect won for the first time this season, beating Titchfield High 4-3, while Mile Gully beat Christiana High 2-1.

Mannings School came from a goal down to beat Petersfield High 2-1, while Knockalva Technical and Grange Hill played out a 3-3 draw.
